That weird cup like dust cap ... I guess, I really don't know what that thing is for to be honest..
can I trim that a little? Would it be bad if I took that thing off?

I have a suspicion the part that joins the trans and driveshaft, it's rubbing on that cup thing. If it's bad to remove then I won't, but could I possibly trim it a little?

no , I lowered it. I have the DJM kit in the back but the offset on the drop blocks are to a limited degree, but I went a little beyond that (will be more once I chop off that bracket for the ABS/eBrake sensor wires)

Have you pulled your driveshaft to confirm that? That dust cap is there to prevent contaminants from getting in to the splines.

Pull the shaft and confirm whether it's rubbing or not. If it is, you may need a new drive shaft because your rear diff seems like it is pushing the drive shaft into your trans, pressing your trans and engine further forward.

That's what I'm thinking. I had a pair of older Beefy 4" drop blocks that were not offset to push the axle back some when dropped, put them on and did a test run, the minute it was on the ground, a weird scraping like noise was being made. It made the same noise weather I went forward or back, I then did a little more test and not even 2/3 houses from my driveway, that sound would get louder and just awful. I found out it was that part that connects the trans and driveshaft rubbing on the dust cap.

As of now no, I haven't had much time or a place where I can lift it up and take a peek. But in general, don't mess with that part right? I'm half bagged (helper bags in the rear that will be getting valves routed to them, but not now, air is pumped via OBA) so I will be adjusting ride height from time to time.

Sounds like the drive shaft being too long is what the problem is. Also, check your center support bearing. Loosen the two bolts, they're 14mm, and re position the bearing assembly. Then tighten them back to 45ft#'s. That may remedy some. If you're really super confident, you may be able to shorten the drive shaft yourself. If not, a driveline shop may be able to do it. Basically chopping a 1/4 to 1/2" off of the inside cup and the splined shaft and re tapering the splined shaft.

lol, I feel more confident with doing the support bearing. Going to have to look around for a shop that can do the shortening. Good lookin out.
