OME 885s + Rear TSB

Has anyone tried this combo? Does the rear just let the whole party down?

 

That rear TSB isn't a full lift perse- It'll raise the rear a bit but if you want to keep the truck rake you'll need an AAL. You might end up level you might not if you just go with the TSB.

 

Actually, what I was trying to get at is this: Is the combo going to handle in weird ways? What if I use a block or AAL?

 

I got the 885's with 5100's all around and just a 2" rear AAL. I didnt get the rear TSB done. Truck leveled out just fine!!

 

Won't handle weird as long as you get a good alignment...People drive trucks with the nose higher, lower, and level with the rear...so it can be done.

Don't use blocks...AALs are cheap and again...as long as they are properly installed...No issues.

 

Yeah, proper alignment is certainly important. But if you're doing any hauling or towing and the front of your truck is higher, you might serious screw up your front suspension or brakes. I've seen it happen. Pricey fix, too.

 

I thought the 885's only gave 2 inches of lift, wouldn't that plus the tsb be pretty level?

 

I was running 885's and rear tsb. Sat just about level. You can fit 33's. But if you dont raise the rear and you get 33's, when your flexing hard offroad, the rear tires will rub you inner fender.

 

I thought you needed 885 + the top spacer for 3".

 

Most cases yes.
That spacer is only 1/4" thick and gives 1/2" of lift. So the minimum amount of lift you should get is 2.5".
