wow just went to see the new one . I had a 1984 p/u 22r engine , 1998 Tacoma , and currently driving a 2009 Tacoma. Loved all three. This new one although I didn't test drive it does not warrant 39k it was listed for. Let's see cloth seats , manual seats , cheap tires , and the same weak rear suspension. I had to up grade the rears in both of my tacoma's. anyway not to bitch and moan about this new truck but I can't see spending that kind of money on a truck that's really not worth it. Toyota can sell these trucks for 30k and probably still make a nice profit. But they know we are loyal to our toys and are going to spend what ever price they come up with. So to all try and hold out as long as possible before buying this new one and maybe it will make better for all of us. If we hold out they will lower the prices. One is weak, many are powerful.

Too late, already a lot of Gen 3's on the road. When I was looking to purchase my first Tacoma, I priced out a used 2015 with very low miles and a new 2016. The price difference was roughtly $2-$3k at the time. Went with the Gen3 cause the design was better. Don't care for leather seats anyways so my decision was a no brainer. 2016 Super White TRD OR. BOSS 2.0 lift kit soon and BAMF grille arrives in week or so. Couldn't be happier with my 2016!

These Tacomas are expensive but obviously they are selling a lot of them.

Yeah, here in Phoenix they can't keep the TRDOR on the lot long enough for people to test drive. I was lucky and found one just 2 hours after it was delivered from the truck (still had plastic all over and was in the back lot in line for processing) after going to 2 other large dealerships that Toyota.com said had them in stock but were gone. There was still a waiting list on them 4 months ago at those dealerships when I bought mine. Could not do much for negotiating, but my price was under $36.

You say it was 39k but you don't tell us what it was. If it was a TRD OR 4x4 with P&T package with JBL, yea, its going to be 39, and worth it.

Paid 38,500 for mine...they couldn't get the JBL package for another 4 months (so they said). Worked in a deal with them to upgrade the sound system with alpine parts and pay just a hair less than what their sticker price was! (And free tonneu cover and predator rails)
