    I run 35s with stock gearing. My DCSB Off Road is a daily driver and my commute is 75% city / 25% highway averaging about ~12.5mpg with the TRD blower.

    What experience(s) are you specifically asking about?

    I do this. It's fine. I don't drive fast or have the desire to. Definitely slower on the highway and a bit of a hit to the gas mileage but I didn't go to 35s to be able to drive 100mph and get 30mpg.

    Drive around with the 35's and stock 3.73's for a while.. and upgrading to 4.56's will make it feel like a race car.

    Not a Tacoma but I had a Suburban with 35's on stock 3.73 gearing for a while. I regeared to 4.56's and it was a night and day difference and drove better than stock. To put it in perspective the TBI 350 was putting 210hp/300ftlb through a power sucking 4L80E transmission and the 'burb weighed at least 6500 with a full tank of 40 gallons of fuel and all my stuff in it.

    Just to add:

    This is just a visual, but cruising on the highway/freeway, I see..

    tach=2k and speedo=~68mph.

    when speedo=~70mph then it's a tick past 2k rpms.

    I'm still on stock gears. Power still seems decent to me, gets up to speed pretty good but I'm not trying to race either. I drive 50% highway & 50% city daily, once you add the difference for the tires (14.6%) to the miles traveled I'm getting mid 17's. I keep my rpms below 2k which puts the needle on 65, true speed is about 70.

    I had 35x12.5x17 on a DD with a 6 inch lift and stock gears as well seemed fine to me getting around 13 mpg and in pretty sure I wouldn't get pretty numbers at the track but I bought a truck not a racer right:thumbsup:

    FWIW if i didnt offroad 5 or more times a month like i do, I'd definitely not have gone to 35s.

    I put 33's on my stock 3.73 gears (4.0L V6 Auto 4x4). I felt the reduction in umph so I put 4.56 gears on (which are probably best for 35's). Made a notable difference. But I also have extra weight from steel skids and bumpers.

    Just my 2 cents!
