IMG_20160914_190347193.jpgThis add a leaf is advertised as producing a 1-1/2" lift. If they measure about 7/8", how am I supposed to get one and one half out of this set up ?

Maybe I'm missing something here but it looks like you're only measuring the 3 AALs and not the entire leaf pack after they are installed...it's 1 1/2" in combination with your stock leafs.

I installed the 3 leaf Headstrong AAL's (same as the Icons) and it definitely lifted as advertised.

I suppose it must have something to do with the arch of the spring or something. Different than a block. Should I remove the overload, ain't that the short one at the bottom of the stock springs ?

It's the thickest leaf in the pack.

You can remove it, but if you use the truck like a truck and carry heavy loads/tow/have a constant load like a shell - leave it.

Removing the overload is a 10% loss in capacity.

I kept mine in, depending on your front setup it might leave you with some rake in the rear.

I'd prefer some rake. I have 6112 Bilstein set on 1.59" for the front.

Yeah I only have about 1.5" in the front as well, 5100's at 0" with OME 881s. Close to 3" in the rear with the 3 leaf AALs and overload in so I have a noticeable rake, but I don't really mind it. If the front starts to settle any (which it probably will) then I'll probably look into doing what I should've done from the get go and go with a taller OME coil.

Oh what about this... My shocks are for 0-2.5" lift. If I leave the overload in and get 3" will that screw my shock selection ?
