    Fellow Tacoma World Members,

This past weekend my dog Iggy and I were backpacking up at Goat Lake, when he jumped off a log and broke his leg. We were already up at the lake, about 5 miles from the trailhead, when he followed me over a downed log across the trail. I heard him jump and then I heard a sound I will never forget. It sounded like a stick had snapped, and then he was screaming, holding his broken leg up in the air and just looking at me in total fear. I quickly grabbed him and carried him the 5 miles back to the truck and then drove him 2 hours to the vet hospital, where they gave him some pain meds and took x-rays.

He broke his leg so close to the joint that he needs surgery, and metal plates to make sure the bone heals properly. He’s been at the hospital waiting for surgery since Saturday and has been sedated so he is no longer in pain. Today he will be getting his surgery, and we are praying everything goes well. Sonia and I have started a GoFund me page for Iggy’s surgery and greatly appreciate any help you might be willing to donate. We want to make sure our little man still has an amazing life whatever the cost may be. He loves going on hikes and fetching sticks, and we can’t imagine his life without that. Please send your prayers to our little man Iggy. Thank you!

    Help us spread the word!

    -Sonia, Cam and Iggy

My wife used to work there. Hopefully you got Dave Snyder for your surgeon. He's done work on my dogs before.

What kind of dog is Iggy? Cool little dog. ...

Yep, a vet bill can get super expensive very fast.

    Good luck for fast healing.

Thank you!!! He's a 3 year old Pomeranian-Border Collie about 5lbs. He loves to fetch sticks, go on hikes, cuddle, and of course he loves his cookies.

So sad, I know how gut wrenching it can be to have your pets in pain. Not to mention the expense. You should look into care credit and I'll hit up the go fund me.

My black dog was running after 4 weeks from a broken femur, but he had a stupid high level of energy at the time. Even after 8 weeks, take it easy still.

Glad to see you got your killer back home and hope VSC didn't rape you too badly on the price tag. My wife never knew them to do anything for a reasonable or cheap price.
