Looks like rear droop improved a couple inches with the Icons.

Interestingly, driver side was worse than passenger as compared to the bracket and the square. Pics all from driver side.

Think it gained about .5" in the front and about 1" in the rear.

Wow! I thought mine were bad!

    Very interesting. Thanks.

Did the TC bedside Stiffeners pull the upright back into position?

I did more looking into this and mine are worse than I thought.

I compared my tailagte gap to another 2009 which is a pavement pounder, and just eyeballing it, the gap is not 100% true from top to bottom, it bows ever so slightly at the top. Seeing that and seeing mine, it's clear mine are bowed out a few mm too much.

When I measured the metal uprights and they were square for about 12" or so, then slightly taper off. I'm guessing the TC bed stiffener pulls in the top of the upright, hence the reason they are so tall. When I use my hand to push the bedside in to try and make the gap closer, the bedside will flex (as does the shell  ) (orange arrow pictured below)

I wish the TC gussets were outboard vs. inboard... Right now I'm thinking the quick fix is to get them and adapt around the gusset. Ughh

I knew mine were bad; came to my attention due to the tailgate being a little difficult to open from time to time when out playing at, shall we say, somewhat higher speeds. :D
I used the bed bolt, OEM tie down and stock upper bolt on the bracket to position it for drilling; then torqued all 4 bolts in sequence to bring the upright back straight. Didn't want to strip out that stock upper thread by making it take all the load. Worked like a champ (with my young assistant).

Did you, as I did, take a moment to admire the welds on the bracket? Very nice indeed.

Ordered a set. Apparently they are a week out from when ever you need them. My bed shifted and is not square so hoping for these to fix them.

    Btw do they come painted?

Just finished installing my bed stiffeners and I don't know whether it was my gorilla-like over tightening or if there was a significant gap, but the factory 10mm top bolt snapped on the passenger side. Everything else was straightforward. Excellent workmanship. Highly recommended.

My bed is flexing on me pretty bad, what other alternatives are there to stiffen the bed and pull it back into alignment? my sleep platform will prevent the TC supports from being installed on the drivers side.
