I had this message pop up this morning on the radio" Mandatory Software Update". It didn't take long, or even reboot. The process was seemingly easy and fully downloaded and installed in a matter of 30 seconds, or so. I guess its an Entune update...?

Just wondering if its like a cell phone when they get updates in that it rolls out to everyone. Anybody else get one this morning? If not, does anyone know what the process is for rolling out updates? Just curious...

I got it. I think it just updated some of the apps though, I read the description while it was installing and it listed several of the apps but didn't say anything about updating the base operating system.

Was the Entune app on your phone connected to the radio?

Entune was connected to mine this morning and I did get the popup on the headunit for the mandatory update. Wish there was a way to see the update notes.

edit - the Entune app description was updated today on the Google Play Store. The notes are

    WHAT'S NEW
The following updates have been made:
    • Mirai drivers are now able to view H2 station information related to maintenance windows.
    • Facebook sharing for points of interests has been updated.
    • Featured stock indices now include: Dow Jones, NASDAQ, NYSE, and S&P 500.
    • Various minor updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

But does updating the app on your phone require an update on the head unit, too? o_O

Mine updated this morning. There was a point where you could click to see details, it sounded like it was just updating the entune apps and not the system itself. Wish I'd snapped a pic.

You should have received several updates by now.

Do you have the Entune app on your phone & is it connected to your radio?

Does everyone's iPhone always ask permission for the Entune app to connect each time the truck is started?

You need to install the app on your phone.

That sounds about right. I think the last one was just before you got your truck.

    Yes.

It's nothing special but it does what you need it to do.
