If anyone ever asks me about working out I have nothing but praise for crossfit. Like the others, I never shut up about it. I haven't gained or lost weight but I have definitely improved strength and cardio abilities in the 3 months I've done it. I hate missing days. At my gym everyone is super supportive and will cheer each other on.

Don't forget, you've probably improved your cholesterol numbers also!

I've been going to the gym for about 2 years. I'd call it an 'informal' workout where I hack around on the equipment for 30-45 minutes and ride bike walk/jog on treadmill for 15 minutes or so and call it a day.

I haven't gained or lost weight or size either....but my cholesterol numbers dropped by like 30points and I just feel better. I don't strain my muscles as much anymore (at work) like I used to. I wanna step it up.....it's time.

I've been going to the regular gym since I was 16. My last cholesterol test said I pretty much had none, good or bad. Remarkable since my diet is terrible. I am trying to change that part of my life.

I just got tired of getting bored and slacking off at the gym...Enter crossfit and now I work my butt off.

You should definitely do it and step it up. You'll feel better and have more energy.

I effin love crossfit too! Everyone at work (mil police) calls me crossfit and thinks I'm nuts...for staying in shape . Either way, I love doin Oly lifts esp on base. Nothing like throwing around 155# and having people look at you funny as you lie on the floor afterwards panting your ass off. Really makes me laugh when I get a WOD done in 10min and have a higher output than the people working out for 90min :D

http://www.cathletics.com/resources/powerOutput.php pretty neat to see what you're doing

Oh hell yeah, I finally moved up to the 24 inch box, and the 24KG kettlebell. I had been doing the 20" box and 16KG bell.
It was hard for like 2 sessions and now it is like Im already used to it!

Also, iin the last 2 days I have finally learned how to Kip. Really boosted the morale because Ive always been weak on pull ups. In a few weeks. I will own them bastages.:D

When you get really good, learn the butterfly kip!

Keep working on it! It's so ridiculous how easy it is once you get it. It was the bane of my crossfit existance for 5 months then all the sudden bam! Unfortunatley I had a knee injury that kept me grouded for 6wks and I lost it, but working back up to it!

Ahhh man I still can't do a freaking pull up :( granted I am still pretty heavy at 280lbs...:( But for those of you thinking about it, my advice to you is stop thinking and just do it!!

You will not regret it! If a big guy like me who had not seen a gym in over 5 years and was obese at 320lbs can start doing Crossfit and have success with it so can you guys!! I started on the 24" box about a month ago and have not looked back! I make it my goal to never step up and always jump the mofo and it just feels so good to do so! But let me tell you 20lbs wall balls are freaking killer!!!! OMG I was dying today! LOL!!!

I am not a fan of wall balls at all. We had a workout one day that was just wall balls. The workout was 150 wall balls for time. Nothing else, just those awful things. My legs were shot and sore for days.

Ya, I was the same wayu when it came to pull ups. Once you get the Kip down it gets so easy. I still cant do a whole lot but on lots of pull up days I can get some good numbers. The main thing I am there for is to work on upper body. I feel bad for missing it today but not feelin great at all plus tweaked my elbow on Clean and Jerks yesterday. Got 195 up clean no problem, but couldnt get it on the jerk.
