@eon_blue have you explored much up tujunga canyon and Kagel canyon? We used to take my chevy up there to play. Nothing id say was difficult, but some mediocre 4x4 trails for sure. Plus only like 5 min away lol

Edited for my lack of English skillz

@uhplifted @stvstoy when you guys get your sliders we'll do an inaugural MJT run to put them straight to use, hopefully before they close it down for the winter though...I think that's happening soon :(

I'll be able to rock the shit outta that trail when I get them sliders. If only I could afford full skids

Full skids are definitely nice to have on it but not a necessity if you're careful....conditions up there change pretty quickly though so who knows. Once you get your lift put on then you'll be fine with the sliders.

Cogen guys and "engineers" are always bumping heads. Their mech engineering degrees and calculators say one thing whereas us on the deck plates actually operate it all. Chilled water theory and heat transfer discussions always have us at odds with one another. They think all we do is sit in the control room, drink coffee, and tell jokes. Well, actually that's exactly what we do 95% of the time. The other 5% we work. Honest. Haha

There is nothing but fire roads in Big Tujunga Canyon. Pretty darn sure of it. Just went looking up there last year. Id be down to take a scenic adventure trip through there. Just need to check with rangers cause everything was closed last time I went up but it was snowing so yeah... Maybe some stuff in little tujunga canyon. I know there used to be a cool road that went up to "Hang Gliders" from Sylmar. Maybe some other little trails. Around the time when I started 4 wheeling(like 8 years ago) there was a huge fire all through the crest and things were closed for years. Maybe there is some stuff now. I'll check out google. Would be awsome if there was trails cause that's our backyard.

I am heading up to the shaver lake area for 4 days. Has anyone done any wheeling up there? Are there any suggestions on trails to hit?
So far the plan is Bald Mtn, Brewer Lake and strawberry Lake.

Any info regarding the area would be appreciated. Thanks

Yep that's what I'm remembering. Little tujunga canyon. I think you take the 210 west and exit Osborne and head north

Like I said nothing crazy, but we had fun back in the day (like 10-12 years ago)

We are lucky to be able to grow up next to great places like this. A lot of partying went down in those canyons :goingcrazy: It would definetely be worth checking out.
