I am finally getting new tires next week. Going to grab some Firestone Destination A/Ts, but can't decide on the size...I want to keep my MPGs high, so will probably go with 245/75/16. But, once I throw my lift on, that will look pretty stupid...maybe 275/75/16?

@Casper66 how easy will it be to color match the chrome surround on my grill? There is a grill for sale in Sterling for $70. I think I could get him down to at most $50 as it has been on there a while. I already have 4 cans of duplicolor as well.

    I don't think they have 275/75.

I don't think that would look bad. But remember, bigger tires, less mpg.

Im getting 15 city/19 highway. Combo 17. But I have 33s in 255/85/16. And mud tires

Yep I am just wondering how much I would lose. I like my 21+ per tank right now, plus I drive 500+ miles a week. Decisions, decisions...

Going from 245/70 to 265/75 might not be that much of a jump. Theres a tire calculator on tw somewhere. And you can compare the weights of the tires too

I have used it but it doesn't give you much for MPG. I might as well just go for it! I think it will look much better once I put the lift on than it will with stock size tires.

if you have duplicolor to match your red just scuff the chrome with some fine sand paper wipe with some precleaner or reducer then spray some etching primer on before the color. if your paint is faded which is normal don't expect it to be perfect. you may want to spay 3-4 coats of clear over it also to help protect from bugs and stuff
