False alarm. Visited the dealership after work and decided to take a peak in the service department - due to a little skepticism. Lone and behold, I stopped them as they were about to install the wrong (SR5) grill.

The parts I'm most interested in are the scoop and the grill. I finally got a chance to see the Pro in person at a local dealer and took some close-up pics. I own a Sport, but I'm interested in the scoop because I want to reduce the sun glare coming from mine (glossy black). I may swap out the scoop or just have mine painted flat black...still deciding.

While I don't think anyone has found the grill yet, here's the hood graphic :) http://www.trdshop.com/oe-toyota/pt9293516020

I think for me it's the enjoyment of waiting for the parts to appear and the enjoyment of installing them. Thus creating a transformation of my truck.

Yeah, no posers here. Just trying to do what we came here for...modify our trucks. Who wants to pay 50k for a pro raise your hand!

Super easy. The part you need is 60 bucks. Comes flat black already. Nothing about that hood is trd pro specific. It's the sport hood and unpainted/unfinished scoop. When I took mine out of the plastic it was already flat black. Mine is getting done Monday. I will post pictures.

My 2017 is supposed to be delivered today. Due to my schedule I won't be able to pick it up til next Thursday, which sucks. Obviously I haven't seen the truck yet but I have a digital copy of my window sticker and it says "Prjctr Beam Hdlghts w/Blk Bzls and LED DRL". So maybe all the headlights have black bezels for 2017? Same as the Pro? If they are the same lights I guess it will at least be easier/cheaper to get them used.

That would be amazing. But I think the black bezel they are referring to is the outside inlays around the headlight. 1. The 2016 and 2017 part numbers are the same 2. My 2016 said the same thing and that's all it was

That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

I keep seeing them on the freeway being delivered to dealerships in SoCal. I know a dealer in the valley has one marked up a grand over msrp.

This is not the TRD pro decal, the spikes go almost full length of the hood on this one. Anyone know the pro decal part number?

Paid $41k and had some equity in my trade, financed $35k on a 24mth note. I'm mod'ing mine the same but just saying I'm glad I went the Pro route (I didn't call anyone a poser also!)

I've already tinted all the windows, deleted door Pro badges, vinyl between front/rear windows, got Redline hood struts ordered (today actual before 25% GB cutoff,) weather tech rubber mats and have wheel well/rock lights in hand just need to install.

Also got the first coat semi-gloss black on my skid plate, needs a few more coats and I'm going to paint the TRD indentation red.

+++ many more mods in the pipeline, not my first rodeo or 4x4 for that matter!

Uhhh no one said you called anyone anything. But the other guy sure did. We are all glad you went the pro route as well. I'm glad I didn't. My Offroad was only 33k. To each their own.

41k!!! Wow. That's a great price. I'd love to see the finance paperwork on that. Cheapest one I've seen yet. What dealership?
