Maybe I'm late to game but I pre-ordered Rise of Iron the other day. Looking forward to playing it. Played Destiny a lot over the last year, mostly online with my buddy back from my home state. Did that for about a year and then got bored so we started playing The Division and I've been hooked on it for a few months now. Might have to get back into Destiny this weekend so I can relearn the controls and everything, lol.

For those of you on Xbox and haven't been lucky enough to be able to experience The Last of Us this is the opening scene. Well worth a watch and sets the tone for the rest of the game. It is brutal in gameplay and brutal on your emotions. Best game ever created IMO

If you haven't seen it please watch. It's well worth it.

Im glad I used my strange coins for 3oC vs buying the bad juju last Friday cause a 335 version dropped last night in CoE. We had a good solid run and we came 3k points away from the 90k in 2 rounds. The team is really working together well now that we all are close or at 335 with a good pile of weapons.

Im finally starting to appreciate the defender titan. It took me awhile to adjust to the play style but now it really comes in handy for the team with blessings or weapons on.

Titan with a bubble in crucible is surprisingly effective. Especially playing in control matches. Pop a bubble over a control point with blessing of light and you've got a pretty good setup. Problem is... I'll come in and use a Nova Bomb and destroy the bubble and anyone standing inside it. So there is always a counter. I only use Hammers or Fist of Havoc in PvP or CoE. Bubble is nice and comes in handy during clutch situations but for creating orbs for the others to feed off of for their super you are only making 2. So in that respect it's not helping build supers which could have taken you over 90k in 2 runs due to revolving supers.

We don't even fill out the card anymore in CoE. We just go one round and get whatever weapon drops and stop. The only good weapon drop out of CoE is the Soulstealers Claw. All the rest are meh.

Im still getting everything up to 335 and now that its more consistent, I can get all those weapons I love to the dps I need.

For you, im sure its mostly a waste of time.

Not really a waste of time. It's always nice to have some weapons / armor to be able to infuse the next best thing you get. Bad Juju is a great PvE weapon because you can feasibly not run out of ammo as long as you kill what you are shooting at. PvP it's meh at best. I run into a few people running it in PvP but I usually stomp them because the stats just aren't up there with the top tier weapons plus the ammo refund procs very seldom in PvP.

We talked about running TTK this week since CM is active on every boss but my vault is completely loaded with 335 armor and weapons so I've got no reason to run it. We have been having a blast with private matches in PvP now. We went in and created an elimination match with 2 against 4 last night. Me and one of the guys I play trials with faced off against 4 others for the challenge. We were trying to overcome being one man down scenarios and we did pretty good. We won one match and lost three 5 to 4 so we have pretty much got our shit together. The guys we were playing against are pretty damn good so it was a tough battle but a lot of fun and laughs. We also ran around each map and created "call outs" so we would know exactly what part of the map we were talking about at a moments notice which should help a lot during trials when it starts back up.

Running a mayhem match is fun as hell. Supers active almost all the time and heavy is almost always up. It's funny and a blast to play.

Mayhem is really fun on a shade step hunter. Non stop magical arrows that stop everyone else's super. It's pretty fun.

finished "Lost to Light" where you gotta retrieve the ashes of oryx or his son whatever his name is, was by far the most difficult mission yet but I did manage to get lvl 40 out of it. my LL is only 205. can you only get the 335's by doing raids/strikes or can you achieve it doing single player? I have a hard time finding raids due to lack of LL that ppl request and my timing of play

I play nights and weekends. I managed to get to 333 in 2 months from a fresh start. Im betting you arent equpping the highest gear when you accept levels or cryptarch. That is key to leveling

It's a grInd. Gear will only drop at most maybe 10 light levels higher than what you are closer to 5 maybe less. Johnny said it perfectly. Before you get rewards at the end of a mission or nightfall or decrypt engrams put on your highest level gear, that will help drop gear with an even higher light level.

Also the missions that are guaranteed to drop X light level. I know the 1st sword is really high and a few others drop in the 3s like sleeper simulant, black spindle etc.

I think i was in the 280s when i finished all DLC.

Vanguard strikes and bounties. Use XP buffs and always run groups of 3 strikes so you get the bonus.
When your vanguard or faction (FWC or Dead orbit) level they will always drop up to 5 levels higher so thats why it is very important you put on all gear to your highest LL prior to accepting. I also will decrypt one at a timr starting blue, purple & yellow. I check each item to see if its higher and equip immediately if it is and decrypt the next.

    Make sense?

it makes sense, and I also decrypt all things together, just keep hitting "X" til its done.

I also dont know where to see what gear provides what LL. I also equip it to see what it increases...and it never increases by more than 1 (maybe I had an inc by 2 once to twice). am i missing something there?

LL is the avg of DPS per item. If you decrypt one at a time and even if its only 1 dps point higher than what you have, you still need to equip it prior to the next item you decrypt. Purples and yellows especially need this little detail.
