I'm thinking about selling my Slash 4x4 Fox edition as well. I just don't really use it anymore and there isn't anywhere near me fun to play with it without having to drive out somewhere.

This is true. Just need to find some close spots that are fun. The kids trashed that awesome jump at the park.

I think I fixed mine but I still need to test it. I just tend to go outside, play for 10 min and I'm bored. Need a track or something.

We should start scoping places out. Use google maps and just go for drives around the area.

There was a vintage Hilux body released just a couple of weeks ago. Can't recall if it was a proline or other, but as always it is designed to fit an scx

I've been brainstorming this idea with @Aw9d for a while now.. I have the capabilities to make the shells..

I found this a while ago.. the price has increased since the last time I saw it tho..

    upload_2016-9-15_16-20-22.jpg

I MIGHT be able to do something. depends on what format I can get them to give me, and then playing with scaling.. and then making the tool/mold. I also need to see if I can not only mill that size (1/10th scale) but pull the thermoforms in that size. It might have to be a 2 piece design. held together with pins, or velcro (think real life separate cab and bed)

anyways.. its tempting to try.. but that price point.. :pout:

BUT.. it could also lead to other projects.. FULLSIZE projects..

Is that a 3D print? If so, the price actually seems reasonable compared to the prices on 3D printed bodies coming from Shape ways. I have seen several there in the $300-500 range

Thats what I need to find out. what file types I can get from them. I'll email them tomorrow. If I can get a .stl, .STEP. or .SLDPRT i can open and manipulate it.

so may possibilities. quick, cheap, small 3D prints of a taco that people can paint/mod to look like their own. RC bodies. Aluminum paperweights. etc.. etc..
