It's getting welded tomorrow. Pretty easy fix, easy access. Can't wait for Toyota to call, I need my truck for work. but when they do I'm still pressing for a new frame.

Ok I talked to Toyota HQ today. Very nice lady I talked to. She said my frame was under warranty until March next year 2017. Sent even offered to call my local deal to set the appointment up for me or to have the manager call me. I thought that was very nice. I will see if I can get it in next week and let you all know what they have to say. Thanks again everyone

NCtaco90, Have you gotten any further by emailing HQ? Im in the exact same boat as you. My truck was originally from Delaware. I'm the 4th owner and when I called the dealership they told me that I wasnt covered for the frame replacement because the original owner never had the coating put on it. But my question is, how was I supposed to know that?? Just wondering if you've gotten any further in your quest. Thanks!

I am working on the same issue as you. My truck is a USA truck and has been in Canada since 2005. No effort was made to contact Canadian owner, which I am pleading isn't fair and the old guy I bought it from had no idea of the "inspection" Toyota would do for free. We'll see how far I can get with management.

Will they do that? In your location the truck probably has had limited exposure to corrosive elements, unless you drive on the beach. Your risk may be low, but not zero. Whatever they used here in New York was not very long lasting; most of it has flaked off.

So your truck has never been inspected or coated, yet Toyota is telling you that you have a 15 year warranty on your frame???? Very very interesting. I'll use that one if need be when hq calls me.

yeah, its never been treated ever.... it wasn't ever registered under toyota hq after we bought it in 2009. so i had them register it too. but yes, they're saying there is a 15 year warranty on my frame and that my truck was included in that recall!
