Yeah, light scatter's part of what I'm worried about. And I don't want to bother upgrading to the projector style because of the cost for a decent set (I might as well just spend the extra $50-$100 on a set of factory assemblies from a limited or platinum, for god's sake). I might just go with a set of Silver Stars and fiddle with the aim a bit for now.

    I was.... :notsure:
I'll be in Mass, so I can't make it anyway.
    I hate New York. :puke:
If all goes well, Ari is finishing school this year. Then it just depends what she finds for work, and where.

I'm hoping for anywhere but here! Though I do love my job at Subaru.
    You done goofed, gramps!

@bucktales , you have a chance to test out your caliraised leds yet? Just curious how you're liking the ambers. And where did you mount them?

Im thinking of trying to figure out how to do a quick disconnect sway bar setup since 95% of the truck is spent on the highways and with my on road 'drive it like you stole it' mindset... A sway bar has its advantages.

I looked into it and I think it might be more than what I'm looking to get involved with, the overall benefits for Offroad use is awesome but I worry about normal everyday use - also I'm not trying to do any welding or crazy mods to the truck yet until i can smooth things out with Toyota and this frame...

No quick disconnect for the taco. It's been tried and failed. The problem is the sway bar links prevent the sway bar from hitting the cv and tearing the boot. You ready need to remove the whole bar. Just do it, it's so much nicer even on the road.

Got them in easy enough. Had more trouble taking the OEM fogs out. The connectors with the factory plugs were easy too.
I wasn't too thrilled with aiming them. Initially, both sides were aimed way outboard, almost like a ditch light. I ended up tweeking and "persuading" them to light up ahead. That took a bit of doing. Adjustment as they come is very little at best.
Now, they're aimed pretty good and light up nice. Waiting for bad weather to see how they really do.

Nice. I may pick up a set and throw them in the lower grill of my FJ. Those look great in your taco.

I hope you're referring to the City! I love upstate NY, I'd move back if the opportunity arose. I can't stand NYC though.
I have a set of VisionX bulbs now, they are whiter than stock but not obnoxious. They seem to be doing well as far as longevity also. I have dtrl so they're on all the time and I think it's been about a year so far. I got them at Autoanything. How far are you from York? I'll be there next month if you want to see them to check the color.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
White plains is right down near the city. My wife's cousin lives in White Plains and his wife commutes into the Bronx as a teacher.

Bummer.. I guess I'll remove it and give it a shot when I go ahead and order all the suspension stuff. I think I'm going to hold off until spring since I will be traveling most of the winter and won't be using the truck much. Plus it'll give me time to save up for some lower offset rims...

Upstate is way different, but Long Island and the city are horrible. People are assholes, don't know how to drive, and EVERYTHING is astronomically expensive

Honestly I haven't even started looking. I have connection with rays so I was think a set of 16" te37's but my don't give a fuck mentality says I shouldn't spend 2500$ on off roading rims.... I've already fubar'd my oem rims...

You might want something with scratch rings. Either have an extra set of rings or just put them on when going off-road
