Yup, love the m/t and it's much smoother compared to my 2010 (but the 2010 is more fun to drive with the better low end power). Out of the five tacomas I have driven, including test drives, they have all been manual.

 

Mine will be my DD and traffic along my work commute keeps getting heavier and heavier..............just hate dipping in to the accelerator with an auto and going from 5th to 3rd. "I just wanted a little more from 5th!!!" LOL! Decisions decisions........

I don't believe I posted it in this thread, but they promised another dealer the truck. We already had the numbers on it and it was suppose to be transferred from our one Toyota store to another that's closer to me. I was gonna drive it and then buy it if the test drive was ok. 4 hours later I get a phone call saying they promised it to another dealer. They said they had another one coming from another dealer 150 miles away. Then it got sketchy because they said it was being freighted. Well dealer trades never get freighted. So I'm not sure if it's a new allocation or what. Been 5 days now and haven't heard anything. I'll message my sales chick to see what's going on tomorrow again. I'm off tomorrow but Monday I'm raising hell. I've been too busy to stop over there and talk with the sales managers at that store but I'm going to have to find some time. Next Friday my lease has to be turned in. So its gonna be crunch time. I'd just request a local dealer trade but no one has any inventory and/or nothing I want. I may have to end up settling on something but I'm hoping not.

That's a 3 hour trip for me. I doubt they will be willing to dealer trade to my auto group anyway. Most are reluctant on those models unless they have a customer who wants something they don't have and they use those for trade bait. And I doubt if I drove out there they would be willing to give me $100 over invoice

 

Don't worry I'll post pics when I get it. I can't promise it's going to be inferno though lol. We showed a quicksand SR5 loaded I was even debating going with that but I had one of my buddies at that store trying to find it and he can't, they must of sold it already

Lol. I'll get what I want or close to it. I'll continue to be patient for a bit. Actually they had a silver sky I was going to pull the trigger on but I wanted a 17 instead and black interior. They promised they had another or would trade for one so I guess if it comes down to it they'll make it happen. Best part is if I find one 500 miles away and the holding dealer accepts the trade, they will send someone to go get it

 

Psshhh, I'll be driving 8 hours, one way. Now who's cool?
