Thanks Again. I had them done buy the installer that does all the new Toyotas at the Dealer. It was good time to upgrade my year truck because the new styles came out for the 3rd gen and I got a smoking deal. It took about 3hrs to do the front and rear jump seats. He has a air condtioned box truck were I would be out in 100* heat.

 

I don't blame you. When I get around to doing the leather interior mod, I am too going with professional install.

 

Sounds good! All Tacos should come standard with it. Just my opinion. It's makes a big difference in comfort. My truck smells like a New Pair Redwing Work Boots! Lol!

So like I said I had the diff gear oil replaced today. I bought my truck used last year and if I believe the service records on the Tacoma owners website the previous owner had it replaced also. It seems like it shifts a little easier and smoother, is it just my imagination?

 

Nah, my truck definitely drove a little better when I replaced the 100k old diff and transfer case oil. I bet it will run even better if I get the trans fluid replaced, as that's pushing 130k on my truck now

 

glad I'm not the only one. Thought it was my imagination but after diff fluid change it feels so much smoother to shift and... Faster!

attempted to install LED dome and map lights. On the first one I got it in and went to test it. Fail. Won't turn, nor the stock interior lights and center console clock. ran out of time to troubleshoot

 

Forgot to mention my 5S cell rides in the holder perfect.

 

Hard topper or a soft topper?

Mainly looking for dry storage for my stuff and room for my dogs.

 

Sounds like a blown fuse. If you push the LED's In to far that will happen . Also if they don't come on you half to turn the bulb 180* and re install.

 

I just installed LED map lights and a dome light. They do have to go in a certain way, so you may need to turn them around. The dome light was also a little finicky and I had to get it in just right before it would light up. Everything seems to be working fine now. Good luck.

 

Worth it? Been on the fence about doing this for awhile now...
