So with winter coming soon, I had the idea of wrapping my new shocks with with clear 3m vinyl. Anybody done this? Or have another idea?

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
My in laws went up to Booth Bay for around 4 or 5 years in a row. They loved it there

    No...
I generally fluid film in the fall, which gets sprayed on the shocks.

It's a farm. Wolfe Neck Farm maybe? I will have dirty diapers so just be prepared for return fire...

For you guys who do hit your trucks with fluid film, what's your process? I've got my driveway, no lift and no access to one. Do you just drape the wheels/brakes in plastic and go to town on it?

Got mine done last Saturday by another TW member. 4 of us drove up to his house and he did it for us.

He had ramps, so just drove up the truck on the ramps and he went to town on it. He suggested removing the spare if you wanted to, but if not then all 4 wheels went up on ramps.

I'd put a tarp down on the driveway before going to town. I generally tape the plastic between the truck and the ground to minimize overspray.

    Oh shit...

    :rimshot:

Sounds right. There's a state park over that way so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a campground too.

Pretty much, yeah. I collect cardboard for a week or so beforehand and spread that out, then park on it, drape the wheels with trash bags and go nuts.

    @Pugga

Make sure while you're in Freeport you stop at the Bow Street Market. They redid the store a few years ago and now they carry lots of beers you don't see many other places.

Well boys, it looks like I just bought myself a rear bumper... A new member has an Iron Cross rear bumper for sale that I just committed to buy. Works with the factory hitch which was what I wanted. Hopefully it'll pan out and not be a scam - not to worried as I'll use PayPal - but you never know.

Seeing how the F150 3.5 Eco SCrew wish is going to be just that, I figure I'll make my Tacoma the way I want it.

Never heard of it and I need a place to stop and buy some good, obscure beers for the weekend and hopefully some sort of appetizer dish! Will make that place my stop, doesn't look far off the highway at all. Thanks!

Bootleggers in Topsham has a pretty good selection, too, depending on where you're getting off the highway.

    No appetizers, though...

Yeah, I need a veggie platter or something unfortunately. I get right off the Topsham exit, so I'll remember Bootleggers as well. I almost always stop at that Irving right there, no idea there was a good wine and beer store just behind it.

I have been to LI once. The tolls on that bridge--woah! Did a quadruple-take because I didn't believe it. I could drive the Pike to Boston and back and still have lower total tolls!

I have never actually been to the city itself. No desire whatsoever to go.

Well, Bow Street in Freeport should have a veggie platter, since they're a full market and not just a booze shop. But if you're driving past Bootleggers anyhow they might still be worth a stop, lol!

You'll pass by me. I'm up in Freeport right now, and heading down to_Ogunquit for the weekend after I get out of work up here. Boothbay is pretty nice. Some decent spots to drink right on the water.
