The joints are still perfect , the gap between the top and the wall seems to open and close about a heavy 1/16"

Nice work. Now I have to dig up some of my old railing pics.

As always nice work @OZ-T I defiantly have a little envy and a whole lot of awe for your craftsmanship. I think if I work really hard at my current career for the next 6 years I'll be able to retire from sitting behind a computer programming and pursue my real love... working with my hands and tools.

That's awesome work! Well above my level of skill or affordability for sure, lol.

I know it was only ranch base trim in that house, but while I was pulling it out I couldn't help but sense the amount of time it took to cut it, fit it, cut it again, drill the holes, sink the nails, counter-sink the nails, more than likely filled with oak dust and glue, then sanded and stained.

It was a simple house, but a lot of old school skill and pride.

That Andersen 400 install went so well (aka pretty easy), I threw in a couple of the 200 series in my garage. I like some of the 200 series features (the tall lip that the lower sash sets on to...keeps water out, the screen attaching mechanism, the lock and the latches to release the window to tilt out) better than the 400.

The very top of that casing, is that a standard molding shape or just a couple pieces built up to create that? Can't tell

Clean. Looks like you eased the edges on everything also?

I usually run 1 pass on the edges with a 180 grit sanding block right before I install them

Took the day off to wrap up these projects. Got the computer room cleaned up & trimmed out the window (not OZ quality, but pretty good for a non-professional weekend warrior). I'm very happy with how it turned out. Hung the window dressing for my g/f too. Also installed the shoe trim around the baseboard radiator.

And trimmed out the windows in my garage...nothing fancy there.

Be careful with vinegar if your shower is natural stone , especially marble , it will etch the stone

I just did this recently. Dawn dish soap to clean. Then used a damp Magic Eraser to get all the water stain rings off the glass. Several coats of RainX after that.

As a maintenance, we always squeegee the glass before even exiting the shower.

    These things work on everything!
Best prevention practice. Learned this one from my grandfather.
