We'll see. The Mrs still hasn't left MA with the giblets yet. Apparently it's difficult to get stuff ready with a new born and a 2 yo

At the very least I'll have a beer or two at work.

Already might have had one when we went to lunch at Pats Pizza.

 

It ain't easy, that's for sure. Even running to the grocery store down the road.

 

We have a beer.fridge at the office. Every Friday is beer Friday starting at 4, or earlier depending on workload. It's not Bucks, but it's free

 

WTF. I hate you.
I've been trying to institute something similar in my office but I keep getting shot down by my tee-totaling baptist bastard of a boss.

 

I work from home on Thu and Fri. Every Friday is beer Friday, usually after 2pm or whenever the coffee runs out. If it's a particularly trying afternoon, it sometimes becomes whisky Friday.

And then the first part of Monday is spent correcting errors from Whisky Friday

 

It's a very familiar sight to see people having a beer or glass of wine in my office. Typically on Friday afternoon's, but doesn't have to be..
Actually, today our Finance department is having their annual charity car wash and the entire day they BBQ and drink while washing a couple hundred cars

 

Not very often. If it's a Whisky Friday, all I am usually doing is pissing off project managers over the phone.

 

Up until a few years ago our home office in Boise had a soda machine that was full of beer. It got abused and taken away though, now all offices just have beer fridges. For morale and such.

 

Wish we could have a beer fridge, but it just wouldn't seem right at my work.

 

Up until 2-3 years ago we could also store our firearms at our cubes if we wanted. Having to diversify the work force sort of lead to the demise of that. Home office now has a locker room with firearm storage, nothing.like that here in the NE though.

 

If you have the kids make it it's educational right?

I think I saw that on a show one time. I can't remember which one. One teacher is talking to others in the teachers lounge and reaches into the fridge and pulls out a beer. Lol

My company is based in NY. I actually got into an argument with the safety officer because company policy is that you can't have firearms on the premises at all, but Maine state law says that you're allowed to have them in your vehicle as long as it's locked and the gun's out of sight, regardless of company policy. He was NOT happy when I faxed him the info proving that I was legally allowed, but guess who still keeps his CCW in his truck during the day?

 

My dad always tells stories about how in elementary school in Quincy MA in the basement there were .22's. He was part of the Elementary Gun Club. They would shoot in a range in the basement of the after school. Crazy to think of that nowadays

 

Guess who still ccw's, not me obviously cause that would be against policy.
