Priced this out at the one and only local dealer, just want to sanity check the price:

    100R with these options:

    -sliding front window
-headliner (apparently these are a free upgrade this month).
    -pet guards on side windows
    -paint match
    -install

Out the door with tax and installation is $1918.

    Seem reasonable?

I dunno, I think it might be $18 too much.

    Install was $30

So looking around, that does seem a bit high. Tax is like $100 and the pet guards and front slider are only $75 each from what I remember so thats like $1400 for the cap.

The guy told me that it comes with sliding windows on both sides for that price. Maybe that was an option he factored in?

A windoor opens from the outside like the rear window, it's an upgrade costs, I forget, prolly 80$, so I got that on top of your config, for around 50$ less than you paid. You are in the ballpark, maybe call around if there us more than one topper place near where you live?

Sounds more like someone wants to sell them for $10 profit and drop ship from Leer out of their basement.

$1800 is the going rate for actual humans to talk to you.

I priced a 100R in Missoula earlier this month. $1626. (Plus $154 for one windoor).

I went with Century. They are made in the Leer/Century factories and use the same components. (I assume the same molds–the Leer/Century logo badges are the same shape and fit in the recess of either topper). The equivalent Century to the 100R is the Ultra. $1500 and the windoors are $115.

I went with the Century Ultra Sport with one windoor. $1815. It's got the all-glass rear door.

    SB

p.s. I had a windoor on my 2007 short box–the driver's side–and wouldn't order a topper without one. That carpet liner looks nice but I'm afraid it'll just attract dust and will be harder to wash down.

I've yet to see a quote less than $2k for a topper on my 2015.

Search Google for "canopy" and tell me what you find: :D

I'm from Arizona originally and we called them toppers. I hear that up here in Montana too. And Google knows what I mean when I search for it. lol

Though some call it a truck cap.

Which way do you mount the toilet paper roll? :poking:

So I was all set to pull the trigger and was talking to the sales guy about a rack. He quoted me something like $300 for the rails on top of the camper (no rack included) and said that it was cheaper to do it now than to add later.

Why you ask? Because he said they reinforce the top with plywood during manufacturing.

    Anybody heard of that?

Yes that is true but I think most caps have the plywood in the cap some you can see the outline of the wood
