I squeegee every time and leave the shower door open so everything dries out and prevents mold. My wife, however...

I never had a glass shower door/enclosure until I moved into my now-husbands house. He showed me one time and told me why. I had squeegeed every shower ever since. Hell if I'm ever gonna scrub those spots off! (I had to do it to our new homes shower because of the spots left by the previous occupant. )

Cleaned that one time when we moved in almost a year ago. Reapply RainX every month or so. And it's been beautiful with minimal effort.

Rain X huh? Might try that. Only problem I had with Rain X was years ago. It really left my Dodge 2500 windshield blotched, and it was pretty tough to get that smoothed back out..

I work at a hospital and we use Phosphoric acid 50/50 with water. (use caution) on hard water spots/buildup. Stuff works great but is corrosive.

I just asked my wife what we use for hard water spots. She said, and I quote- "We? Huh.. I'd LIKE to use a maid".

Damage from 4 hours of rain. A studio I built. Homeowner had a friend run electrical, looks like he ran a few screws through the roof for some unknown reason.....ugh

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
So for all you gurus out there, do you have any ideas/pictures to trim out an overhead garage door on a metal sided building? I'm having a tough time figuring the best way to do it. To cover the edges of the metal, make it look nice, prevent water intrusion, to keep the bugs out, etc. It is on the weather side of the building unfortunately :( I'm thinking an L shape for the top up behind the siding, but not as sure on the sides. Pictures would help a lot. Thanks in advance.

Prevent water intrusion above all. You can always add beauty boards afterwards

Could you create a rabbet along the sides that's just deep enough for the metal siding to slide into?

Kinda like how some vinyl windows have it for vinyl siding to go under.

Probably not an option, the metal is surface mounted.
