    I currently have two tacos.

    2016 DCLB OR auto 4x4
2009 Pre runner 4banger 5 speed Manual (72k miles)---Soon to be my daughters truck in a few weeks when she turns 16.

Had the new truck for about a month and like it pretty well. Rides MUCH better. Anyhow, drove the old taco and the suspension is HORRIBLE compared. It's always been a rough truck but dang! Guess I was used to it lol as I bought it new in 2009.

My question is has anyone replaced or UG shocks for your similar truck? How much would it cost and do you experts think it would be worth it? I've used the truck quite a bit off road as I deer hunt a lot. Really just want the ug for a better ride for my daughter. Really it's pretty bad lol.

The truck does have brand new leaf springs in the back from the recent recall. Any input is appreciated as I've never replaced any suspension components on vehicles!

    Thanks!

Swap all the shocks out for Bilstein 5100's and call it a day.

yep my 09 is the same.4 cylinder 5 speed access cab.i used the bilsteins at 1.75 on the front.basically level.had bilsteins on the rear and 1 leaked.bought rancho's.not nearly as smooth as those bilsteins for the rear.gonna change them back when I buy new ones for the front.i figure the fronts are time for a change after 165,000 miles.
