    I'm on your schedule! I don't see why Aussies get them on a smaller continent while we are left with the "luxury" version. No doubt though the FJ70s are the best looking landcruisers to boot.

    The nice thing about 70's is that they still fit inside standard shipping containers. Even though the Fords in question are being built in India Ford will still play the "domestic source" card.

    Being able to buy them surplus would be interesting as they will come with "non-standard" VIN's but parts would be everywhere since they are common on the global market.

    We don't get Asian light duty Diesel engines ever since the Motown Three helped the EPA write the emissions laws which made it impossible for the Asians to meet the ridiculous standards. Americans demand luxury features so purpose built vehicles like these sadly aren't going to be included in our market. That said, retiring to Australia is still a consideration for us. Not just for Toyota love, in case you thought I was that crazy.
