TRD supercharger

Here's another question lol, anyone know of why a truck would buck when the fuel light comes on when under load. I've been just fueling up (with premium and different gas stations) only a couple gallons here and there for the last few weeks so I can convince myself to drop my fuel tank and finish sealing it up lol (I know I'm lazy). In the last week its happened on two occasions where I'm in boost and screaming along and right when my fuel light turns on the truck loses power for a second and then kind of bursts back in to power. I'd almost say its like a clutch slip, or like I popped the clutch for a second while punching it, but RPM's aren't spiking when it happens. Makes me think there's a quick cutoff when the light comes on? Didn't think there was a low fuel cutoff built in somewhere, but who knows. Could just be the ECU cutting fuel for a heartbeat when it reaches the low fuel light.

Don't think it would be slosh or i'd see it more often at low fuel...

So it was on the highway, probably around 70-80mph pedal stomped and in boost already, RPMs around 3-5k, 5th gear, loss of power for a second, then right back to it. Only happened each time right when the light came on.

Reaaaaaaaaaaal easy. You're tank is too low to keep up with filling the bowl, as quickly as the pump is draining it. Don't boost under a 1/4 tank to be safe. DEFINITELY NOT under an 1/8. Or lean out and go boom boom.

Unless you want to add in a Holly Hydromat. Then you can be under an 1/8 and upside-down...lol. That device is awesome! But you don't have that, so don't.

Correct. Years ago, during the X-1 era, there were datalogs capturing what was happening. I even encountered it. Gadget created a thread discussing the topic and why not to, as well.

I'm still stunned how well preserved it is. It took me two years, but I think I found a good one. There isn't even a pulled stitch on the seats.

I love this thing. Power sucks, but it's a total land yacht. 4700 lbs. gas gauge moves on every trip. It's awesome.

tonight i threw codes P0172/P0175, bank 1 and 2 to rich i cleared the codes but not sure why or what caused it

 

i dont just a cheep obdII reader

 

no all it does it read and gives me the code then i can clear it
