    A suggestion,

    get one or a set of after market CV axles ($50 per side on Rockauto, I'm sure similar prices other places) and the boot kits,

    swap the axles in, your down time is minimal, and you can replace the boots at leisure and not be pressed to get it done (and you'll have trail spares to boot)

    CV boots are a messy pain in the ass, aggravated by having to get shit back together by XX time....

    note taken. All "new" axles are either refurbished OEM axles or crappy Asian axles. Trust me I thought about that route too. I'm cool with just swapping out the boots instead.

    like I stated my cousin offered to help me out, if anyone knows a work around to make things easy on the truck he does. plus it will be good time spent with him. We don't have a set time hopefully to get things done.
