Im with the ARB crowd myself, yes expensive but so nice to be selectable! Plus you now have onboard air!! That in itself is pretty darn sweet and very useful!

Also @TacoDell, reguarding that elocker from Australia as @cruiserguy mentioned the hilux would be the one that fits the tacoma. Pretty sweet really!

    I'll suppose

but I've never needed 2wd low range
for pulling my trailer most anywhere.

My junk thinks 4X works just fine.
so twin sticks are not in my cards.

I wouldn't mind having manual hubs tho'

I wouldn't bet my life on it...

I'll bet the Australian Hilux shares very little with the USA distributed Tacoma.
From what I've read... it is more akin to the Tundra.

I know the frame is wider...
So I might need assume the axles are too.

Odd that the Australian mfg'r doesn't want to sell their offerings in the USA market too !?

2wd drive low range is handy if you have a front locker. For example, I have been on pavement and pulled a guy out of a ditch. I needed low range without wanting to put the stress on my Tcase by having the front axle turning on a high traction surface. Another example is when driving around hunting and you don't need the front wheels working but you want to go slow.

Manual hubs, select-able lockers, and twin sticks are all redundancies in respect to front end disengagement, however they all have a purpose and extra uses that the others don't posses. My truck will have all 3 by the time I'm done with it but I want all the uses out of them.

There are a few 2lo mods that are free or under $15 depending on year/configuration.

I think op should do rear locker first (i suggest a no-slip) and a winch.

There was a thread on here awhile back from a guy that put one of those Australian e-lockers in the front diff of his Tacoma. Pretty sure it was a 2nd gen but I could be wrong

Does seem strange that they wouldn't market out here, especially since ARB is really the only company that sells aftermarket selectable lockers for our trucks
