I just replaced my lower radiator hose and flushed the radiator. Couldn't get the engine block drain to work, so I just flushed it 3 times with distilled water.

3rd time it drained nearly clear, just a little green. Got too dark, fill with antifreeze tomorrow.

Capacity is 8.8 qts. So if I drain 6 qts distilled water, I should assume there is still 2.8 qts of distilled water in there. Should I add an equal amount of straight coolant to bring that up to 50-50, then finish up with 50-50 mix?

    I'm probably over thinking this...

You're putting green back in, right?

Okay, you'd be fine doing 50/50 the rest of the way. But if it makes you feel better you can do it as you stated. :D

Thanks! I guess I'll just dump in a little straight and finish with the mix. Should probably have tried harder to get the engine drain to work, but I've messed up some expensive stuff "trying harder" before.

Drain it from the block. Do it correct.

I drain and fill like you did, not using the block drain. I get concentrate cause of the water left in the block and try to bring it to equal parts then use 50/50 or just mix the rest of my concentrate, just depends on what ive got on hand really.

I'll give it another look in the morning. I'm pretty sure it was turning, but nothing came out.

Yeah, I did finally pull it out. For some reason I was thinking I only had to loosen it. Thought it would be a real pain to get it back in since it was an awkward angle, but wasn't too bad.

The worst part of the whole operation was getting the skid plate back on.
