Mine started leaking in Moab this spring, and I drove 300 miles back home, and for the next two weeks around town without issue. That was only a slight leak though, and I checked the gear oil level several times.

Also keep in mind your rear brakes won't work at all after being soaked in gear oil.

True, but look at the braces bolted to it, holding it to the leaf pack like an aal

I thought so too, but the clamp and rivet around the pack say different. I agree though, way thick.

I'd say go for it, the only problem might be that those tires have a pretty complex tread pattern for an automated machine.....but who's got time for siping by hand :notsure:

Can you thread a slide hammer into the screw hole and smash down on it while heating the shit out of it with a MAP torch? May have to just cut and reweld

thats not a bad idea but i don't have a slide hammer on hand, we've been heating it with a map torch and just whacking it with a big hammer, id cut and weld it myself but my welder blows.

yep, loved mine too, ran them for 15k miles with no issues. only reason i dont run them now is because they dont make the size i want. Discount tire mounted mine and balanced fine.
