She keeps telling me I can take the garage if I want it (and I honestly know it wouldn't be a big deal), but realistically it makes more sense for her to have it, especially once eventually there's children. I figure now she can get used to how wide the opening is, etc, since she's never parked in a garage before.

Yup... garaged since day 1. Still wash it every week or two and wax it every 3-4 months. My cars/trucks have a reputation for being very well maintained. And they are!

Yes. I worry about this too. It is a tight fit. I have all of the shelves secured to the walls. The overhead racks could always fail. That's the risk of living in So Cal.

I need a garage like this one. That looks a lot like my buddy's hangar that he uses to store cars around the airplanes.

Don't worry about keeping it outside, but do take care of it. If like me you are not into the joys of detailing your car there are some really good modern products that allow you to wash and spray wax in 30 minutes or so. Do that every few weeks, wipe off the corrosives (tree sap, bugs, bird crap) as soon as you see them, do a more thorough cleaning and waxing once a year and you will be fine. Not show room ready but protected. Oh, and unless you leave your truck garaged 24x7 you need to do these things anyway although not as often.

Haha yeah actually I store all my cars there. It's a big hanger/garage on my ranch that we put all the tractors in. But the area was so huge that we ended up half of it off and split the hanger in half and put a roll up door so I can keep my cars and stuff in there :)

I wish my garage wasn't 10 feet wide, then again even if it was bigger id just stuff more tools and shelves and workbenches in there :p. My trucks been outside its whole life and i haven't waxed it in years.

I have a garage. Haven't had the chance to park in it yet, it's been 6 years lol. Not sure my F150 would fit but the Tacoma will once I get it. Perhaps some day I can start parking in the garage

Same situation...previous truck was a 12' TRD Tundra. It fit in the garage OK (tight) but I always pulled the driver's side mirror in so it so it would clear the door opening (garage has 2 doors). My 3 gen fits easily in the garage now but I swear the front end looks longer from the driver's seat on the Tacoma than it did on the Tundra. and I still park it back too far from the front garage wall. Also ordered the Weather Tech windshield cover. Fits perfect and protects the inside some in these damn LA (lower Alabama) 95+ days.

Yes. But barely lol. Anyways, Google "auto paint glass coating." Research, and find a local detailer/installer. If you were in DFW TX I could do it. You'll never have to worry about it or even wax the truck.

From what I have been reading on the 3rd gen section I wouldn't worry much about putting it in your garage since it seems they spend most of their time back at the dealer for warranty work.
