Are you sure about that? I get the feeling even in 4wd which I imagine means it's more likely an out of spec bearing than than a free spinning shaft.

It's easy to say that when the trucks running but when you get stranded by a u joint grenading I don't think you'll be happy. Hopefully you don't play in remote areas since then you could really be in a world of hurt.

I don't think it's that. My dealer was informed by Toyota to remove the front drive shaft and drive it and it still had that issue. The new design of leafs helps a good deal but does not totally eliminate it. I wonder when guys lift there trucks and use aftermarket leaf springs help this issue.

This. I got a call from the service manager today and he said to bring it in on Monday. They will removed the front shaft and check for numbers on the springs before making the repair, but it shouldn't be a prob to fix now.

If that didn't fix yours, you probably need to still add a shim wedge to the springs. When I lifted my Avalanche, the shop had to measure the driveline angles, then order the appropriate shim degree angle to install.

I think your right. I was told the leafs were to change the pinion angle and I'm not sure, but I think they added a shim. I'm gonna take it back and have them look at it again. I know the angle is still off a little. That sounds like a good shop where you had your lift done

I haven't read anything on this thread but I assume the fix is a shim?

Were you given a leaf spring assembly that the rest of us don't have access to?

You'll have acces to it if you have the vibration between 30 and 20mph and when braking to a stop. Just take it in to your dealer. I'm sure there aware. Or will be. But it won't totally eliminate it as me and "flatus" have mentioned. It will still need a tweeking.

How is it different than the one from factory? Did they explain anything? If so why are they not just going with these leaf packs?

Problem with Toyota is we all do not have access to it. I was told the vibration was normal and caused by my Duratracs...not sure how it can be normal and caused by tires? Toyota blames everything on my 265 75 tires? Worthless customer service.

I think this might actually help me. Just to make sure, TC means transfer case? Also, what are the shims from the factory springs? What is the CB (center bearing) ladder?

Thanks in advance as I think this might help me tremendously.

EDIT, just continued reading the thread and I noticed some questions were answered. Looking forward to your response regardless. :)

It changes the driveline pinion angle. The ones that are coming out of the factory as we speak still don't have the new leafs on them. I've tested a 2017 just like mine.
