I grew up in quincy. Multiple schools have gin ranges in the basements.

 

My first time I used a paint brush and spray cans. I sprayed inside the box section with the cans and basically painted the frame, inside the bumpers and up the bedsides.

I actually used gloved hands the first few times. I used spray cans for the base of the tailgate, the doors, and inside the rockers.

Once I got the sprayer it was so much easier since I had all the extensions. I still filled the box sections with the can.

I got the 360 wand for the new spray gun so this one will be way easier to do.

I went to LI once to look at an Integra with a friend. He went cash in hand and I threatened to physically assault him if he purchased the car. The ad was a total lie and none of the mods matched the ad. It also burned a pile of oil at WOT.

So that's my LI story. It's totally not relevant but I wanted to share.

Morning! Planning on painting my radiator black so it stops sticking out so much through the Pro grille. Then also painting my bed extender black to match the truck.

Sucks you have to work.

 

No real plans, just hanging out in Ojunkquit.

 

Kimball farm for part of the day for a work function. Jetlagged and working tonight at a club doing logistic support. I'm so screwed on sleep.

Just got finished with a blood donation and now I'm headed to visit my parents and see what's wrong with my father's car. He thinks it's the starter but just had a ruptured Achilles tendon repaired and can't work on it himself.

How long did you guys sand your sliders before painting. Feel like I'm going to be here all day lol

Not very long on either set. I just got them with really rough grit quick, then a 3m scuff pad quick. I think it's more important to get them clean with mineral spirits or similar thoroughly than anything.

Sweet. My BIL has been working on Nantucket quite a bit so oh course he brings his pole. He's caught quite a few bass and blues lately

Not long. Maybe 5 minutes each at most. I had the mindset they are sliders and are going to used as such, so paint was just there to protect them until I scraped it off. Lol. I spent much more time painting them then sanding them. Just remember to degrease them with something so that the paint sticks

Installed gutter guards on the house. Thank God it's a ranch for this don't stand on anything higher than a kitchen chair guy. I need a new extension ladder - the one that I have is a really wobbly thin aluminum hand me down. It bounces even when fully closed...

Also just installed the TRD short shifter. Definitely noticeably shorter, snappier shift. It's a full 1 5/8" shorter throw. More that I thought it would have. Reverse is a little harder but not overly bad.

 

FYI... I'd suggest lacquer thinner as it won't leave a residue.
