I think the bitmojis are funny because of the visual dichotomy it delivers.

Here you see a man that appears to be in his physical prime, and yet he is so bold as to wear a cat on his shirt. I like guns and trucks and manly things, and yet, I have a cartoon that makes me look questionable in several areas of life.
