My order got shipment delayed until 10/11, even though my original order said it would ship 8/30.
Today, Autoanything has a coupon code of "TGIF" that is good for 23% off. I called them and they added the extra 3% off, which anyone can do with their 1 yr pricing guarantee. Have at it!

Currently on the phone with AA, the awning is in stock at ARB, so it's getting shipped today, while the wall set I ordered will not ship until 10/11 as it's out of stock. They normally wait to ship the whole order at once.

Thanks Seabass! I have a similar rack. So I guess I have a little fabbing to do.

I went with the 2500 because my rack allows for the extra length. It came Friday and I fabricated mounts to attach to my rack. 20160911_190022.jpg

Tested it out today. This thing is slicker than camel shit!

Got mine. Installed over the weekend. Might try to fab up something in the future to get it down a little closer to the roof.

Autoanything screwed up my order for the better. I had placed an order a week before this group buy started and yes I did get 20% off. I ordered a ARB 1250 (4ft model) and the front windbreak for it. UPS just dropped off 2 tubes from autoanything with ARB 2000 x 2500 awnings in them. I wanted the 4ft awning for the rear of my truck and now I have 2 6ft awnings for the sides of my truck, I have an access cab so they will fit on the sides of my shell perfectly. Now the moral dilemma, do I call and do the right thing by returning what I just got so I can get what I wanted or do I keep what I got? I'm an honest person so I'll do the right thing and probably have to wait another month to get what I wanted.

Well since you just posted this on the internet, you should probably contact Autoanything and let them know about the screw up.

Shipping a 6' awning in a 7' tube is a pretty big screwup when the front windbreak for the 4' ships in a 2' long box.

If you like what you got, the. Keep it. Call them anyway, because you can get more off then 20% off and maybe they'll not even charge you for the difference between the 4 footer and the 6 footer since it was their screwup and it would cost more to ship back and re-ship the 4 footer.

Extended out to show how far it can go out from the awning and also create a straight vertical line for the awning wall. I'll take a pic showing it stowed up against the RTT when I get it back on the truck again (took everything off for a long road trip).

For those of you who have or want to get the ARB room, a word of caution about the footprint stake mounts... Go a little on the "loose" side, i.e. do not cinch all the bottom stake points till the floor is tight. I had some issues with my first room. Any sort of tension on those straps and the seams would tear between the wall and the walls. I contacted Auto Anything and they were going to replace the room at no charge, estimated 2 months took 4-5 months... so I doubt I will ever support them again. Anyhow, I got a replacement and the floor seems to be made of a different material now and seems much better. I have at least a dozen nights in the room, sleeping, cooking, you name it. It has survived San Juan all night rain sessions and pretty significant winds without so much as a problem.

One thing I would recommend for anyone with the room is to get some padded foam floor tiles. I got garage foam pads from harbor freight and 2 packages fits almost perfectly. Makes for a much nicer feeling and a great insulator. Also I wouldn't worry about the vehicle wall being perfectly vertical. I have mounted mine flush against the roof and out about a foot. You get more room for sure if it is out, but not critical.

I have both of mine at the house. Was planning on installing the 6ft on the passenger side of the truck up to the Prinsu rack and I have the hardware needed to do that. Am going to save the 4ft awning to mount on the back of the shell once I get another roof rack for the shell.

Finally installed the 6ft one onto the Prinsu rack. Cost me about $18 or so for the hardware needed to install it on the rack. But it is rock solid and ended up doing 5 mounting points onto the Prinsu rack.

    Ask and you shall receive.

Here is what I used with part numbers from Lowes to mount a 6ft ARB Awning to the CabRac, and it is rock solid.

    2 Packs of 6x40mm Bolts (138071)
2 Packs of 6mm Nylon Lock Nuts (138085)
    7 - 1/4x3/8x3/4 Steel Spacers (137114)
    14 - 1/4in Flat Washers (311726)
    7 - 1-1/4 Fender Washers (15346)

I then mounted it like Awning - Bolt - Fender Washer - Spacer - Flat Washer - Prinsu Rack - Flat Washer - Lock Nut.

Total cost for all parts was $18.36 and I used 5 bolts, so had three left over. I was originally going to mount it to the rack in 7 spots, but it was overkill IMO, so only did it 5 times.
