    Hey folks,

Not new to the forum, but mainly just lurk around on here. I'm looking to add a new switch for my grill lights, and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I currently have a switch similar to this:

    14360255_10154287955625020_1501829823_o%_3fcf1cbd5c16a5dc626411dfdd136a475fbab009.jpg

It's got 3 pins, and all I keep seeing on E-bay are the ones with the oem style electrical connectors like this one:

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/12V-Push-Swi...ash=item1a05e411bc:g:JRkAAOSwyQtVsfLa&vxp=mtr

Can someone tell me if I can wire this plug to the three wires I have already? I have the following:

1 - power line from the battery with an in-line fuse

1- power line from the lights themselves

1- ground from the switch to the chasis for switch illumination.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Have you thought about using a relay and keeping the high draw wiring out of the cab of the truck?

Here is how it is wired.

A relay is required for those switches.

I've never really thought about using a relay... for simplicity's sake. Do I only wire one wire to the relay?

This is more complicated than you need because it's for a OTTRAT switch but it has the relay wiring on it for an example.

You would of course leave out the blue sea box and wire directly to your power point with a fuse inline.

If your lamps are of less than 3 amps you can, otherwise no.

Interesting. A couple issues for me. "Rated at least 20 amps", so they don't know what they are rated at? Might be 30, might be 20. Might have spade ends, might have screw on type terminals. So, they don't know what they are selling you?

The ones I got were spaded... but even its it screw on you can change that in 3 seconds?

I run 4 kc lights off mine...and I'm an electrician by trade..

Even if your getting near the amperage... just run a relay? Ozmium switches are nice because they "fit".... I hate dremeling plastic

Yeah I originally had generic toggles in my switch blanks, but I went with the type OP posted because there is no need to trim or file the holes and they fit well.
I'm just kinda iffy on buying something when the seller/dealer can't tell me what it actually is.
