Hope you feel better man. I know (not from personal experience) from family and a high school coach that a ruptured disc is no joke.

good luck with that neck of yours. I had two ruptured disc in my lower back. L4 and L5 blew out and was crushing my siadic (sp?) nerve. OUCH! They should be able to give you a epidural once they get your MRI done. Make sure they do it right my doctor hit the nerve with the needle and I flew across the room. I didnt end up having surgery. by the time my insurance company got their shit together I was healed enough that I didnt want the surgery and to be back at square one again. 3 months out of work was a killer. I hope your neck disks turn out to be a bulged not ruptured. I feel your pain man. hope you get better soon.

Neck & back injuries are the worst.

The good news is there has been great developments in Neck/Back/disc treatment the past 3-5 years.

    Hope all goes well!!!!!!!!!

Your posts are WHY he has a ruptured disc! Too much strenuous activity!

Seriously though, good luck Will! Ruptured discs are a bitch! That's what my wife had surgery for twice! Look into ALL the options available and make sure you get it done at a damn good hospital/doctor. See if you can find options other than surgery too. My wife has nerve damage from the surgery like I've mentioned before. Surgery seems to be a 50/50 option for doctors. As in, some think it's necessary, some think it's not because the body can heal itself.

Either way, I hope for the best man!

thanks man. yeah, the dr. im seeing about all this was highly recommended to me by some guys i work with, as they have been thru the same type thing. even he said, we will wait till the mri gets done to make sure whether we have to have surgery or not. im hoping that rest and rehab are all thats needed and that it will heal itself.........and its cool that the dr. said that it was a possibility that it could do that. either way.....................if it gets rid of the pain in my neck/back, and numbness in my arm and fingers......im all for it at this point!!:)

You didn't just turn 30 did you?

Welcome to the bad back club. It's a great ride. I can't even take a crap without getting pins and needles for an hour.
