Nice! That's the look I'm going for. How's the ride? As soon as I fix the a/c in my Tacoma and replace the rack in my runner I'm gonna order my lift

Thanks! I love it too...Honestly this rear bumper was the biggest reason I upgrade my suspension to what it is now. I originally had just the 2880's in front with a toytec AAL. this worked pretty good until I built the bumper and installed...the extra wait caused my rear to sag a good bit once my gear was loaded up for a trip.

Its not a Cadillac by no means but this is also not a DD so it doesn't really bother me that much. I feel it most in the rear with the AAL when I don't have my gear loaded. Once Im fully loaded for a trip its not that bad.

I really like those wheels. What are they from? Almost look like steelies from a spare or something. Maybe first gen Tundra?

this has probably been asked before but how much weight do you need on 883s? I just got a tg low profile front bumper and I'm running 881s, is it gonna sag enough that I should get 883s?

Ding! Ding! Ding! good call! 16x7 1st gen spare tundra wheels. Cant go wrong with simple steelies. Easy to fix and cheap to replace.

    yep! 255/85/16 BFG KM2.

    Thanks!

Absolutely...you know its time to upgrade when you have a pretty serious negative arch after loading up. Plus I'm a slight rake kinda guy...not too much though.

Im not sure on how much weight for the 883's but I had 880's with my front plate bumper/winch and the Toytech AAL before I made my rear bumper/swing out and it sit pretty level even with the rack and tent on the back full time. So Id say you'd be fine with 881's. Totally just my opinion though. Im no expert by no means just giving you more information to help with your decision. Good Luck!

Found this picture of my truck with the 880's and Toytec AAL before the rear bumper. Maybe this will help too

Oh man, I've got the same setup on my 2.7L but with 881s. Once I put on a tube bumper and winch will I go to 882s or not? So hard to decide!
I've read some perspectives that are quite adamantly against 883s on the 2.7L for offroading. Even with bumper and winch, the spring rate on the 883s is overboard, from what I gather. The choice that I think you should be making is whether to go 881 or 882 (882 is same spring rate, just slightly taller spring.)

Finished installing my new springs yesterday. OME 881 coils with Dakars, no AAL.

    The day i bought her.

    After the lift.

The old junk that i pulled out.

First impressions are that it is a lot stiffer than stock but the tires seem to more planted on the ground. Next i will have to buy shims to straighten the drive line.

I noticed toytec's site says something about a top plate spacer. Are you not running that? Just curious cause of the rake

No top plate spacer installed. I bought the spring kit from Wheelers Offroad. The rake is a little much but im hoping the rear will settle as it breaks in, especially when i start adding weight to the back.

I have confirmed now that the Dakars are too much rear lift for me.

Thanks for the pics! A couple questions...

What size tires are you running?

Have you considered pulling out a leaf or two from the Dakars (if that is too much rake)? Maybe someone will chime in, but I think a common recommendation was to pull out the 3rd leaf or the second overload? (not sure)

Did you use a driver's side trim packer? (is the driver's side lower than the passenger side up front?)
