My issue wasn't an issue with sitting too far back and rubbing the bolt head like I have heard of from some people, I actually have plenty of clearance there. Mine actually came up and rubbed away the bottom of the LCA mount. I haven't heard of anything similar happening to anyone else.

Yes! It was the same with mine, so I cut a strip from the bottom of the skid so it didn't rub. Jim has them, so when he checks the site he can post a pic of what I cut. They cleared by about 3/8" after the cut.

:Yeah: what he said. Archive now offers a kit specific for dakars if you have them. I'm rocking his original design/install and haven't had issues yet.

Came home a day early from van epps, Jerrod is still up there. Weather was shit today. Rained non stop till about 4 with 10-15mph winds. Thursday and Friday were so much better.

Archive is 100 bucks more than ato after shipping. The only differnce i can see is his can accept universal shackles and comes with new shackles. Am I missing something else? Why is it more expensive?

I offer TW members a $20 discount so it's $270 shipped for insured expedited shipping, see details on www.archivegarage.com
My kit supplies poly bushings in the bracket tube, includes stainless steel shackles, includes shackle pivot bolts, and brackets come painted.

The ATO kit reuses stock shackle, and IDK does it match the frame taper angle? Their's is ~$215 shipped so my kit is $55 more to you.

Did you already get 2low installed on your truck? I'm getting ready to do it to my truck. Whole write up on how to do it for 2nd gen on here that another guy figured out how to get it working on 09+. Instead of 2 Dpdt relays, I'm going to get 1 4pdt with a socket and screw terminals.

Rubbing the mount, as in between the top of skid and bottom of LCA? If that is the case, tighten the bolts

Awsome! Thank you for the info. I've been beating this question for two days. Do you have units in stock?

I do now that the fj case is installed, I'd have to go look at the stock Tacoma t-case but I'm fairly certain true 2wd low is not an option, I could see 4wd low with the front ADD unlocked working.

I'd go, but I need to let my tent dry out pretty much all day.

What are the requirements on that? Could my stocker suspension go to Cherry Valley? Unfamiliar with that area/trail.

Cherry Valley itself isn't hard but the gate keeper can be, depending on how wet the ground is and how many people have torn it up. I'd say sliders and good tires at the minimum.

Edit: You have to go up the hill on the left around 2 big boulders that you can easily slide into
