this is reminding me of an older thread from some guy on here who was supposedly a doctor or surgeon.
Goes on saying how he just bought a limited and now wants an OR and can eat the price with some extra shifts. Then pushes it by saying I make ok money and says he makes $400k a year...like thanks dude. Rub it in everyone's faces you're making the same money as those that are often considered upper class. You're making what many won't even make in 3 years.

LX570 starts at $107k here, a tacoma Pro is still half the price.
This is just one of those things where OP may not be trying to troll or be a dick but when you're advertising that you bought a Lexus LX570 and plan on already buying another $40K truck next year its just a slap in the face to all of us who are working hard to just buy that same $40k truck.

    Nice vehicle though to OP.
Hope it works out great for your wife.

Congrats OP, it’s a beautiful ride you got there, I almost bought the LC for 10k less than the Lexus but opted for the 4R ltd and the ’16 Taco instead.

Can’t say blame you for waiting, its your wallet and all new models come with perils. For the least one, it takes a while for replacement windshields to be available on any brand new model and it’s almost always the first to take a hit!
Also, the Atkins durability and reliability is yet to be determined for us, but I'm loving the gas mileage I get on mine so far.

    Enjoy!
    Cheers!

So bust your ass, go to college for a decade, borrow lots of coin and go into debt and finally, after a decade of paying everything off and busting your ass more, make the same kind of dough. [and no, I'm not some rich dude, just a blue collar schlep]

Not sure if the OP's new lexus is brand new or not, but that year LX570 is fairly comparable to new 3rd gen. A dealer here in California was discounting $20k off of MSRP since the newly designed 2017's are out. And no one buys LX570's...

I personally am cross shopping between a 3 gen, 4runner, and a GX460. With discounted prices they all are within 10k difference.

Don't knock on the OP, some people have different priorities than yours.

I do bust my ass dude.
working towards getting my masters license so I can start my own electrical company.

Point is even some that go to school and get all those degrees still can't get a high paying job. Some are also just really lucky and born into the money etc.
Not trying to say its bad that he has that money, but its just something that when you have and rub it in others face you come off as a dick.
Not surprised with some of the replies in this thread. That's all I was getting at.

So...some of you are jealous of the lucky doctors. One of my kids always wanted to be a Dr. After getting a 4 year degree in biology he worked a couple of years as an EMT while studying to apply to med school. 4 years of no life later he is just about to finish med school with $400,000 debt. Then he gets to work 4 to 5 more years making $55k a year working 70 hour weeks as a resident. He is 29, doesn't own a car, lives with 3 roommates. He gets married next month and moves into his future wife's 250sf apartment. She works 2 jobs and they plan on living tight to pay off school by the time he is 38 or so. Then he can listen to people who can afford to buy $40,000 trucks bitch about how much money he makes.

Oh, by the way, nice car OP.

I understand but in 15 years, if you are sucessful, you'll be buying some vehicle or item that someone else looks at and thinks you are being an ass posting or showing. Maybe it's a Taco TRDOR with the wing option so it can fly by that time..........who knows. I look at it as maybe in 5-10 years I can afford it when the original owner decides to sell.

And seriously, all the best in your future endeavors.

    I see your point.
Its just one of those things even when some do work extra hard to get there, cant.
Like I said great on OP to be buying it. Just not surprised with the hostility.
Hope one day I can afford to buy a $100k vehicle for my wife.

This may come across condescending but if you are fortunate enough to own a $35-40k truck and seeing someone else with a $90k car makes you feel bad you would probably feel bad with the $90k car when you see the guy drive by in his $250k car. First world problems on steroids.

My friend said the same thing he was able to purchase his $100k brand new Audi R8. There is another world of Supercars. 100k is considered poor man's supercar.
