Hey @Box Rocket. Wondering if you can help me out here.

Used my tent on a night out this weekend and for some reason, the half-way lockout above the 5th rung of my ladder has stopped working on the left side. The ladder will still lock out at each full increment, but the half increment doesn't seem to want to lock on that side and this is generally the spot I use. Is there a way to fix this or will I need to buy a new ladder?

    Thanks!

I thought I posted these. The tent is already off the truck as these cross bars were temporary

With a bed rack all the way to the inside of tailgate the overhang won't be anything to worry about

I recently purchased and tested an Exped Megamat Duo 10 (air/foam mattress). Holy f*ck, what a comfortable night sleep, and it is the perfect size inside the tent (Tepui Autana). It is a bit pricey, $300+, but i have decided that a good night's sleep while out in the sticks is worth it's weight in gold.

Those things are so comfy. I laid on one in store at REI and was completely shocked how comfy it was. I was going to get one as a guest bed (not much room in my condo) but was shocked when I saw the price. Decided I can buy a whole memory foam mattress for that.

By far the most comfy thing I have ever slept on besides my bed. But not by much

it was retired this weekend actually!!

yep its the Smittybilt Overlander XL

so far I'm stoked with the tent. I had to do a couple quick fixes but all in all nothing to major

    1. fix ladder edges so it slides and doesn't stick, remove all burs and sand down aluminum in a few spots
    2. de bur all rod holes so they go into the slot on bottom of tent base quickly
    3. de bur all corners as to not rip fabric
    4. the side wall of the ladder side of the tent was starting to come out of the groove in the aluminum, that was a PITA to get back into the groove.

    5. Im thinking of adding a tent pole for the overhang to push up the rain fly so that rain won't collect just behind the RTT aluminum pole that holds out the annex cover.
