From what I've been able to find, Magnaflow and Flowmaster are the two best exhaust packages out there? From YouTube clips I listened to, the Magnaflow sounded deeper and nicer. Can anyone with both give me their thoughts. Thanks.

I'm running mbrp turndown, very loud and drones. best exhaust for the price being that I got it for $250 shipped. If you like loud ricer trucks then this is it.

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
I'm for the TRD exhaust myself, but I don't like exhaust on a V-6 to be loud

Stay away from Flowmaster. They "drone" too much, and aside from the race mufflers, they don't flow a lot. Magnaflows are a nice option. You may want to make sure your muffler has good flow numbers. I am guessing something around 500+ CFM ought to be sufficient for a small amount of top RPM gains. The gains will not be much.

Was just looking at the TRD Exhaust. I think I will buy it. Lots of good reviews on it.

I like the sound on the Borla 140680 I have. Others that have bought the magnaflow really seem to like it.

It's just a catback, if you want to save some money you can always just buy the muffler portion and have a shop weld it in. Unless you want the integrated nicer tip and everything too.

That would be a much cheaper way to go. The stock cat back pipes on the Tacoma are actually pretty nice.

2nd gens are mandrel, and decent size for na trucks, i never understood why 2nd genners bought a catback for an otherwise stock truck.

Im curious the tubing size used on the 3rd gen

I saw on the Toyota accessory site there is a TRD Intake that has been designed for the 3.5 to compliment the exhaust that you can get. I am very excited to get these two items and hear and hopefully feel the difference. I think I may dyno before and after to gauge some results.

    Save the money.
Buy aftermarket intake and muffler, same crap without a trd stamp costing an extra premium.
    TRD doesnt make anything.
Everything labeled trd can be found on a shelf somewhere for much cheaper by the true manufacturer.

I have a flowmaster original 40 muffler on my Tacoma, and for a v6, it doesn't sound bad at all, to me anyway. It is very cheap and isn't very droney on the highway.
