    Not enough...
Removed the spacers I had under the shell rack for better load distribution and mounted my RTT.

Have to say, it was a bitch getting this thing mounted. Could not fit a socket with a rachet and I did not have a box wrench. Beat the hell out of my hands with a regular wrench.

Looking good though. Will see how it holds up on this trip.

I keep one of these in the truck specifically for roof top tent removal and installation. Makes it a breeze.

Looks awesome! Did you end up using the Hole punch method to install the cabrac?

    Awesome.
So technically, with this application you did here, you don't need awning brackets, unless you want it to sit higher. Is that correct?

Correct, Except larger awnings like Eezi awn or foxwing wont fit in the manner you see here. They are taller and would hit the door. For those awnings you need a bracket to lift it up more.

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
My ARB awning sits like right at the door and I used a 1/4 x 3/8 x 3x4 steel spacer on my install. Both doors do not hit the awning when opening or closing doors.

@zscott now that you made some brackets for the sides of the racks... how about one for mounting an awning off the back of the racks that utilizes two cross bars?

One for a rear mount awning is in the works.

That is what I like to hear. Was going to fab up some angle mounts when I ever got the rack for the shell.

I just need to go ahead and bite the bullet and order the camper rack.

May have been asked already... but didnt want to read all 4k plus messages. Any chance of a 1st gen dc rack? Id absolutely love to have one on my dc.

EDIT: I did some searching so you dont have to repeat yourself... It seems theres some interest even if u have to drill. I know id love one even if i have to drill into my cab. Your racks are so sweet i wouldnt care. And maybe a rack for light duty not super heavy loads?
Would this be something we could get you to design and produce if we had a certain number of people comitted and maybe a down payment or fully paid?
