    Lift kit and off road tires and rims
    Hi all, I am looking for a good performance chip to put in my 2015 TSS yota 4.0 v6. I am looking for something that will help my gas mileage out a good bit without messing up any of the computer problems. Also will need it to pass inspection.

    As far as I know, there's no good options for our trucks. Pretty much no one on here runs one and the ones that have say it's useless.

    Unichip, but you have to also get the package to self tune it.

    URD UCON, which is currently only available for their s/c kits, but should be available for regular purchase in a few months.

    If the Unichip system can be self tuned could it be altered to work for the 4 cyl, or is that too much of a leap?

    There is no chip to increase MPG only power.....
    As you reduce fuel you reduce power.....
    You could get the uni chip and just advance the timing but that's a lot to spend just to advance the timing and my net you the same MPG with better performance....

    To maximize MPG leave the intake and exhaust stock.
    Synthetic fluids oil and gear fluid...
    Iridium tip plugs, (don't start)

    That will get you about 1 mpg... and that about all it's got.... I went from 18.8 to 19.9.... Then I put on larger tires 17 mpg...
    Stick to street tires or newer tires, some tires eat more gas as they wear out...

    If you lift it keep the nose down a little, don't lift the front higher than the back...

    Run 87 octane if your not towing or half tank of 87 octane....

    There are a few intakes that help get more cold air like a snorkel and they can help....

    Both the urd maf cal and uni chip work good but they won't increase mpg only increase power but use more gas....
    With my unichip my power map gets 10 mpg off road my overlanding map gets 14 mpg off road they both get about 16 on the road, I think my tires are wearing out because I used to get 17 on the road with 32 and a 2 1/2" lift....

    I just put on new 285 70 17 ST Maxx tires so will see what happens now....

    I started with the maf cal, and really like the way it controls the fuel....

    Then I add the Unichip and ran both until I got familiar with the unichip...

    Now I'm running just the unichip....

    Both seam to control the fuel about the same... Unichip gives more control, finer adjustments, timing, multiple maps and faster to change maps....

    Either one will only improve power and drive ability not MPG...

    Technically, it can. Due to a refined tune over OEM. The a little timing improvements, better cylinder evacuation with the exhaust cam gears, and better open loop afr's.

    Your driving style, still plays the biggest role. How much drive time you spend in open loop versus closed loop. Open loop gph will be reduced versus stock because of the better afr's. However, with the UCON, it is effectively always in closed loop feedback mode. Ehich makes it more consistent.

    I know I need to get some sort of tuning device as I have intake, intake manifold spacer, headers, ypipe, and a custom cat back and plan on adding a 70mm throttle body and with no tuning what so ever I'm missing a lot of power. Just don't want to get something have even shittier mpg..

    The maf cal is cheap, mpg will drop but if it's not a daily driver, you won't care, fixing the fuel will make the truck run MUCH better.......
    But yeah it's time you do something to take advantage of your other mods, you will be happy you did....

    I'm trying to make a mpg map with the unichip but not working so far, it's better than my power map but still not good... just about 16 on the hwy with a lift and 33s... trying to back to 17 plus.....

    It is my daily driver and currently get 400km to a tank 18mpg in city so roughly like 15-16mpg USA? I was thinking about doing the maf cal but was thinking of just going straight to the uconn for its self tuning feature since I know absolutely nothing about tuning but I do know I really need something :p

    So you're getting the same MPG as me with the tuner so maybe it will stay around the same....

    the ucon is the best way to go, but the most work to wire in......

    With the maf cal the may have a map for you to get you real close....
