I had an automatic sliding rear window on my old Ford truck. Honestly....I only rolled it down and up to wipe the dew off the back window in the morning. Now that there is a backup camera my rear window will probably always stay closed.

I left it open a couple of times on my old truck. It created a nice mini tornado of every bit of dust and dog hair in the cab.

I am having one installed in my 16! I miss the one I had in my 06 Tundra. Irritating that they didn't have it on the 16's from the get go! :goingcrazy:

No. A local custom shop that all the dealerships use for interiors and other things. $925, new window with motor and wiring. Toyota parts guys aren't even sure about the part numbers to get stuff from Toyota yet because it's so new. One Parts guy told me probably over 1500 just for the parts but that was including a $550 wiring harness which might not be even necessary.

Yep, might be a bit. I have to pay for the regear first! Definitely going to happen pretty soon though!

I'm likely going to try the benwa mod that was done for the second gens. It used a motor from a Ridgeline window and a bracket to limit the travel to our window size.

I was looking into that, but couldn't seem to find everything for it. Was hoping there was afull kit with easy installation guide. I have so much in this now, I might as well do it right with warranty and all.

Seems like a lot, I am not sure yet. If offered as an option when I bought, I probably would have got it. I have been known to do things that others think are crazy, but don't we all? Iam also known to get what I want, but I work my freaking a_ _ off for it!

Yeah he no longer makes the kit, but the pieces don't look too hard to just make yourself.

I don't know if you are ever going to see a kit to slide the window down, considering it already moves left and right. Going up/down would require a place for the window to go.

That's not going to happen unfortunately! I know the power rear slider window itself is over $600, so replacement of that window plus motor, wiring, installation, warranty. $900 isn't that bad imo! Although many people might not like my opinion!

Either way it's your money & your opinion so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Are you going to have to replace your rear glass with one from a 17'?

They do replace the entire window. I would imagine it will be like the one on the 17. Is it the exact one, I am not sure.

i'd be interested in seeing a parts diagram from the 17 to see how much the motor and wiring would cost. I have found very few diagrams for the 16. in contrast, I can go to the majestic honda page and find every part from every honda ever made with diagrams that let you zoom in.

The motor through Toyota was around three hundred and fifty bucks I believe. The parts guy was not sure about needing the wiring harness because the harness basically included lots of other wiring which are trucks probably already have wired so to replace that with a new one that just had an extra wire for the rear window would be over five hundred bucks which is probably unnecessary.
