What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Will do trying to have them sealed and on the truck by today! cool thing too with adjusting them is that the stock adjusting screws work fine!

 

What did they look like before you mounted them? Where they self contained units? How did you mount them?

 

Couldn't stand the unfinished look. In retrospect I should have waited for help and removed the bumper, but it's still WAY better than it was.

 

They are actually jeep headlights that we're completely sealed. I have pictures in my build thread that shows the progress. I mounted them by using job weld steel stick from the back of the housing. I used that to mock them up then I use job weld quick weld(?) to permanently put them in place. I did not remove the steel stick and just let it dry. That was my "base" because the headlights barely make contact to the back of the reflector bowls. I let it sit over night and checked this morning and they are in tight now

 

Also found a piece of concrete from an old mailbox post to check my clearances on.

Where did you end up getting your mesh? Did you have to cut it to shape?

 

Finally took delivery of it. Took a long time to bring it back home from Africa, but it's nice to get it home.

Got a new to me work truck today! It's a 2013 base model... She's seen some better days. I'll call it Taco Jr.

 

I have some suspicions that my 2013 Base model used to be a work truck. Factory color was magnetic gray then PO painted with a cheap single stage white that's starting to chip off now.

 

Are there any led ditch lights that plug in play with the stock fog light harness?

 

There's a harness out there you can buy that makes them plug and play.

Check with Cali or Apex

 

These just need to cool now and they're going on the truck!!!

Will a 16x8 6x5.5 wheel with 4" backspacing rub on a 2nd gen?

 

Question for all you AT peeps... While I wait for my black shifter bezel pc, I'm thinking about the little light bulb that lights up the P, D, etc...

Any of you guys change it, and if so, what did you go with?!
