Well you def need the shoes because your old ones are soaked from gear oil. I only recommended this kit in case you lose some hardware in the process or somehow damage some of the springs during removal. It all depends on how old the hardware is that's on there.

Thats what I thought... Ugh. 3" lift would take care of most of that right? Backspacing is 4.5"

Think with that backspacing you may still rub the uca a bit too.

This. Lift height does not equal tire clearance unless you only ever drive to the mall.

You can fit 285s stock height if you're prepared to spend lots of time with an angle grinder and a BFH. It will require cutting off a majority of the pinch weld, hammering back your firewall as much as possible, cutting out a lot of your fender liner, removing the windshield washer reservoir, cutting the front and rear corners of your fenders and flare, and possibly hammering up the lower spots on the top of the wheel well, and I'm probably forgetting a few things. I could run my 295s at stock height no problem.

Wheel backspacing is one thing that could present an issue, you'll rub the frame hard at full lock with stock 4.5" backspacing.

It should be fine as long as you don't have to make a turn or go over any bumps.

Way to much work. The best BFH is to bolt them on and wheel it. They'll clearance themselves and you won't have to guess what to clearance and how much.

I'm surprised peep don't like it. I think it looks really good for a tube bumper, don't worry I'm not trying to console your hurt feelings lmao. Can you have the corner lights be your turn signal lights? Just run the wire and bulb from the turn signal and mount it in the corner light housing? Or if needed just cut and splice the turn signal connector wire to the wires from that corner light? I think that would look pretty badass actually. Look really clean and minimal.

yea you can drill a hole and just stick the blinker bulb in there I think theres also a way to make the actual corner light blink too without hacking up the housing but idk how that works, but I think thats what I might do.. that or just get amber led strips and put em somewhere inconspicuous. and I like it so I won't worry about everyone else :p

Just swap over the wires and replace bulb with a nice bright led one.

you mean just toss the current marker bulb and make it a straight up blinker?

That looks like everything, besides shoes and spring kit like others have mentioned. I ordered those outer dust shields things and honestly the ones in there already were perfectly fine. I couldn't find a shop to do the press work so I ended up doing the beat-on-concrete method and then reassemble with a length of pipe....surprisingly easy after thinking the press was the only way to go :notsure:

Go easy on the seals into the axle, they are pretty fragile and you need a way to smack them in around their outermost edge to avoid deforming the seal and causing a leak

I ran close to that stock with just the pinch weld mod on stock 4.5"bs wheels. after 3" lift it rubs front and back of frame, uca, and sway bar. needs less backspacing...

How did you "press" them back together? I've heard of the concrete method but I'd rather not go that route
