Yes you could make it to slide into the L-track, but the issue you would have is locking it in, usually they snap into the track. I already have that figured out. I just needed to know if it will slide or if its its own multi position track that you can not slide through

 

It will slide through as long as the lock does not catch until you have it in the position you want it in.

 

Yep Nick (Crom) also confirmed as long as you counter sink the bracket mounting bolts, it will slide.

 

Yes as long as you use a Flat Socket Cap screw it will be flush with the track, all the track I have bought always has recessed mounting holes for the screws.
