You know the song was suppose to be called "in the garden of Eden" but I guess being stoned out of their skulls or drunk has a way of changing things.

Happy Sunday, everyone!! The beginning of the college semester means my schedule gets filled with evening and weekend functions. Started yesterday morning at 8AM leading our College's Team Falcon on the Komen Race For The Cure 5km run/walk. For the 4th year in a row we've received the award for the largest school group! I ended the day at about 10 PM after the celebration of our football team's win, under the lights, over conference rival Hudson Valley Community College 48-9. Our team was ranked #8 in the country last week in the Junior College poll.

At least today, since the rain has cancelled fall baseball and softball games, I have a true day off.

Lynn and I like to go to 2 places each year for a vacation - Galley Bay resort on the island of Antigua, and the Blue Ridge mountains in NC. This year we are adding a quick 4 day trip to visit some of the bourbon distilleries in Kentucky - our Maker's Mark barrel is ready to be opened next month so we will go hand-dip a few bottles. And, we are taking my son and his family to Disney World early next year.

Personally, I hit my weight loss goal - down 33 pounds and have stabilized right around my goal weight. I might try to lose another 5 pounds but who knows.? I feel much better having lost the weight. I also balanced out my upper arms by adding a second tattoo last Saturday. With the 15th anniversary of 9/11/01, I felt compelled to do something to recognize the impact of that day on my life...almost my death several times...so I worked with my artist to design this. The eagle stands on a pentagonal piece of rubble looking intently as the sun begins to peek out of the clouds - recognizing both the devastation and the hope. I love it...although right about now it itches like hell!!

    I hope everyone is well!!

That is a very well done and impressive tattoo. From a guy with no tattoos, how long does the itching last?

Everyone heals a little differently...and has a different approach to it. Generally, intial healing takes about 2 weeks. Peeling and itching start after about 3 to 5 days. It lasts about a week or so. This one is much more itcky than my left shoulder - not sure why. In any case, it's manageable with some unscented lotion to moisturize it.

Thanks. Not sure that will work... eye is infected. It is a little better today than yesterday though.

Morning all! Glad to hear the eye is feeling better, Sue!!!

Looks like this week will be our last surge of warm weather before 2017. Ugh. Guess I'd better prep my snow plow this weekend while I can still do it in a t-shirt.

Yup, that time of the year Mark. I notice that all my oak trees have brown leaves on them and other leaves are starting to slowly accumulate in the yard.
Soon time to put the snow tires on the Tacoma!

Yes they are Gary:amen:. When I see the green on the ground I know it's another day I won't be looking up at brown. :D

Mark and Carl, any word on whether it's going to be a wet snowy winter or not?
