finally rain today after nearly a month with virtually none! glad to have it. Ground was so dry even the moles started going elsewhere.

This! We really didn't get a ton of rain but at least it's not a dustbowl anymore.

The wood stacks are covered, I hoovered all of the dead, dry leaves up before the rain, *and* I managed to score roses in time for the wedding anniversary, so I'm feeling a tad smug at the moment.

    But I know it won't last. :p

    piddly stuff
well here we go. first and foremost i hope you all had a great day! i thought i had everything organized last night so this morning the alarm goes off at 3:30 and i vaulted out of bed trying to make sure i wouldn't be late (i usually get there 30 min early anyway) i checked my sugar and ran into the kitchen to get the coffee going and looked at the clock. 2:40 WTF is going on? apparently my automatic setting clock had never reset the time so up an hour early. screw it i went back to bed. got up at the real 3:30 got my stuff done and out the door by 4:10. drove the extra 5 miles to get to where my bosses office is because he thought my id badge was dead but of course nope it worked. so then i got to go back out and drive all the way around the airport to where i work on the other side. nobody was there huh? finally the lead man shows up at 2 min until start time. he tells me just do whatever you want, help the other guy since he didn't plan on doing much. so i spent my day stripping duMp truck wheels to bare metal ending up looking like pigpen while one guy pretty much hid all day and the one i was working with wondered around talking to people and shopping on ebay on his phone. nobody even came in to the lunch room at lunch so i got bored and only took half a lunch break and went back to work. this is how it is pretty much everyday there. all in all i did ok. i got home at 4 which was nice only working an 8 hr day but will probably switch back to 10's when i can. i worked hard, that's just me, but was careful. shamefully i came home tired but it'll come back. was so dirty i had to take another shower then got dinner cooked for christie god bless her she did the dishes. sorry so long but i thought some parts of this were funny. i can't say it enough but THANKS

Thanks for the update Chris, sounds like you got back into the swing of things pretty quick. Did they do ANY work while you were gone?

    afternoon 50's

:censored::rant::annoyed::rant::censored: drove over something on my way home for lunch and whump whump whump!!! Dang it!!!! flat tire. Thankfully was near a parking lot. Spare is 17 :anonymous: years old, so didn't trust it to drive on.... got one of the ladies I work with to take me and the tire to a shop to get plugged.... :censored::rant::annoyed::rant::censored: hole is the very edge of the tread so need a new tire and they didn't have one - neither new or old. Thankfully they called another place and they had ONE tire, so we ran over there and another THANKFULLY the place was not busy... They are usually bumper to bumper. Back to the car and put the new tire on. I've worried about that turn lane for a while now, about all the crap in it.
